This enamel pin is of Grace Hopper, a Computer Scientist, who was a Rear Admiral and a pioneering computer programmer and educator.  This pin is a wearable version of the 'nanosecond wires' Hopper went on to develop the first English-like programming language (FLOW-MATIC), making programming acessible to more people and revolutionizing the way computers are built and used to this day.
